Terms, privacy & the small print.

Pickz is offered as a free live service. We may update, change or temporarily suspend features without notice as the platform evolves. We try our best to keep predictions, scoring and league data accurate, but the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and you use it at your own risk.

Accounts are managed through our authentication partner, Clerk. You agree to provide accurate details, to keep your sign-in credentials secure and to be at least 16 years old. You can delete your account at any time by emailing us — we will remove your profile and personal data within 30 days.

Don’t use Pickz to harass other players, post abusive or unlawful content in league names, display names or feedback, attempt to break the scoring or sync systems, or scrape the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the platform.

Pickz is a free skill-based prediction game — there is no entry fee, no house cut and no cash prize pool offered by us. Any sponsor-funded prizes (e.g. a partner giveaway) are described on the site and governed by the relevant prize partner’s separate terms. Match results are sourced from football-data.org and may be corrected if a scoring error is identified.

Private leagues can now display free-text prize entries (1st / 2nd / 3rd place, wooden spoon, and a “stakes & rules” field) set by the league host. These fields are descriptive only — Pickz does not host competitions for prizes, take any entry fee, hold or distribute any money, sponsor any prize, or vouch for what a host writes. Anything members agree to is a private arrangement strictly between the league host and its members.

You are responsible for ensuring whatever your league does is legal in your jurisdiction (including any applicable gambling, lottery, consumer-protection or tax rules) and for resolving any disputes between yourselves. If you are in any doubt, keep prizes non-monetary (bragging rights, a homemade trophy, dinner on the loser). League hosts are responsible for the prize content they enter; we may remove fields that breach our acceptable-use policy. Bonus category leaders (best group stage, best knockout run, biggest matchday, most exact scores, best bonus team haul) are computed automatically from prediction data and provided for fun — they are not official Pickz prizes.

Pickz may display advertising and sponsorship placements, and — where enabled — optional links to licensed third-party bookmakers (“fancy a flutter”). These are clearly labelled. Pickz is and remains a free skill-based prediction game; we do not take bets, set odds, hold any stake or process any betting payment. Any wager you place is a separate contract between you and that bookmaker, governed by their own terms and conditions.

Betting content is strictly for adults aged 18 or over and is only shown after you self-certify your age. Please gamble responsibly — when the fun stops, stop. Never bet more than you can afford to lose. Free, confidential support is available at BeGambleAware.org. If you would prefer not to see betting content, simply do not confirm your age, and the module stays hidden.

We collect the minimum we need to run the game: your authenticated email (via Clerk), a chosen display name, your predictions and picks, the leagues you join and basic request metadata (URL, user agent, timestamp) when you submit feedback. We do not sell personal data. Aggregated, anonymous stats may be used to talk about the service publicly (e.g. “X predictions made on opening weekend”).

Data is processed under UK GDPR. You can request access, correction or deletion of your data at any time via the contact email above.

We use strictly-necessary cookies for sign-in (Clerk), a first-party cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and a small amount of local storage to remember dismissed dialogs. With your permission, we also use optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics, loaded via Google Tag Manager) to understand how people use Pickz and improve the game — these are off by default and only set if you choose “Accept analytics”. You can change your choice at any time. We don’t use advertising trackers. Our sub-processors are Clerk (authentication), football-data.org (results), Google (optional analytics) and our cloud hosting provider (application hosting and database).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inter Partners Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising out of your use of Pickz — including lost points, missed deadlines, downtime, or any decision you make based on information displayed in the app.

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be noted on the changelog and the “last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of Pickz after an update means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
